Technical & Testing: Research & Development

Our research and development is based on feedback from consumers, wine makers and bottling line operators. We are actively engaged in ongoing research to constantly improve our products.

Before any new process or material modification is commercialised, the Integra closure must undergo a rigid trial period where the following tests are performed:

• wine flavour modification evaluations
• closure extraction performance over time
• closure sealing performance over time
• wine movement past the closure using accelerated temperature trials
• ease of application and removal of the corkscrew
• ease of re-insertion of the closure in the bottle
• SO2 retention

Every test is undergone in our purpose built laboratory for both physical and sensory analysis.
